2008 Opening Cruise and Bowls Match
Each year, during the Opening Cruise at Wrenburt, the club holds a bowls match for the Rondo Trophy. There is an award for ladies and another for gentlemen. Then the two winners play against each other to determine the Supreme Champion. This is a fun event, open to experienced and inexperienced players alike.
Last year was the 21st consecutive time that the club had held its opening cruise to the Cotton Arms at Wrenbury. The bowls match is played for the Rondo Trophy.

Last year a plaque was awarded to boats that braved the bad weather to reach Wrenbury. There were sunshine and snow showers during the bowls match.
